MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – January 11, 2016 5:00 PM

Jessica presented the Selectboard with a quote of $5,700 to convert the current Community Software Consortium to Patriot. Patriot charges an annual license, maintenance and support fee of $2,000.
Currently, the Assessing Tier Annual Dues is $1,500 and the Collector Tier Annual Dues is $750. The Annual CSC General membership is $700. This general fee is charged to all communities belonging to the Consortium. It is paid once annually by the member community and covers all Tiers including both the assessing and collection tiers.
Included in the Assessors Fiscal 2016 budget is the CSC General Membership Dues of $700.
Jessica is looking into the Tolland Public Library joining the CW Mars network. The network would give patrons the ability to order books from their homes and would access them the use of eBooks. The Massachusetts Library Commission presented the Tolland Public Library with funds of $5,800 to be used as they felt necessary with the exception of salaries. Tolland’s Ladies Aid also notified the Tolland Public Library that they would be donating monies. There would be an increase in the Library’s budget of $1,200 to cover the annual cost.
The Finance Committee was informed of meeting dates that have been scheduled to discuss 2017 budgets with department heads .
